Hello
I'm Pam Lee, I live on a farm in the Quiet Corner of Connecticut with my husband, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 7 birds. I've worn many hats in my life and I'm happy to share them with you today.

My Story
My life is all about seeing the beauty in all things. Born and raised in a rural community I had to use my imagination a lot. I imagined myself to be a great floral designer, a Hollywood hair designer, and a famous artist. Well ok, so I'm no floral designer but I love my gardens. I'm no Hollywood hair designer but I owned and operated my very successful hair salon since 1981. No, I don't take clients now just family. Am I a famous artist? NOT YET but there is still time.
As you see I always have loved art but, I could not draw past stick figures. Sadly I didn't know where to start. I tried everything. Computer-assisted art, reading art books all to no avail. Until I found Zentangle. Imagine it; art that only uses lines. I could do that.
Around about 2012 I started playing with Zentangle and became Certified to Teach in 2017. Zentangle is a meditative form of art that uses one stroke at a time. After having learned composition, shading and dimension from Zentangle I started to play with other forms of art you can see on my gallery page.
I live on a 42 acre estate that my husband and I wanted to open to the public to share rare and endangered animals and teach conservation. My property is a Certified wildlife sanctuary and Monarch Way Station. Opening the property to the public was a logistic nightmare. We scratched that idea. I still rear Monarch Butterflies for event releases.
This year we plan on adding a farm stand where I can sell my flowers and take orders for butterflies for release. More on this later.
For the past few years, I've been active as Vice President of the Art Guild Northeast and Co-President of the Artist Open Studios CT. I've stepped down from these positions to focus more on my own business. I'm still a member of these organizations plus Art Center East.
This year I plan on spending more time teaching, entering juried exhibits, group shows, and weekend events. Check out my calendar for a list of events.
